Job Responsibilities:

• Assist senior nurses and medical officers in providing basic nursing care to patients.

• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and SpO₂.

• Assist with patient admission, discharge, transfer, and maintaining nursing records.

• Assist in administering prescribed medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or medical officer.

• Assist in maintaining IV cannula, dressing, wound care, and other basic nursing procedures under supervision.

• Provide basic care and support to patients before and after surgical procedures.

• Assist in newborn and maternal care as required under proper supervision.

• Maintain proper hygiene, cleanliness, infection prevention, and patient safety standards.

• Assist in preparing patients for investigations, procedures, and consultations.

• Maintain proper documentation of nursing care and patient observations.

• Communicate patients’ conditions, complaints, or any abnormal findings promptly to the senior nurse/medical officer.

• Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients and their attendants.

• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the nursing station, treatment room, and medical equipment.

• Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, and instructions from senior nursing staff and doctors.

• Perform any other duties related to clinical training and patient care as assigned by the Hospital Authority.
