Responsibilities & Context:
Provide regular clinical assessment and monitoring of admitted patients.
Attend to emergency cases and provide appropriate initial medical management and support.
Work closely with Consultants/Senior Doctors during ward rounds and patient management.
Act as a clinical support to Consultants in the day-to-day management of patients.
Monitor treatment plans, prescriptions, investigation reports and clinical progress.
Review patient files and ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Coordinate with nursing staff regarding patient care and treatment compliance.
Monitor medication and treatment schedules as prescribed by the Consultant.
Recognize changes or deterioration in a patient's condition and promptly escalate to the appropriate Consultant/Senior Doctor.
Support smooth coordination between the ward, emergency department, laboratory, diagnostic services and other relevant departments.
Communicate clearly, respectfully and compassionately with patients and attendants.
