Education:
    • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery (MBBS).

  • Valid medical license to practice in Bangladesh.

  • Training in SRH and Family planning service , IPC, or Emergency obstetric care is an advantage.

EXPIRIENCE: • Minimum 3 years of experience in primary healthcare settings.

• Competence in women’s health and basic obstetric care.

• Good communication and patient counseling skills.

• Ability to work under pressure in high-demand environments.

Functional: Cox’s bazar project officer (Hamidul Islam)

JOB SUMMARY: The Female General Practitioner is responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare services to patients, with a particular focus on women, children, and vulnerable groups within Rohingya refugee camps. The role includes diagnosis, treatment, and management of common medical conditions, support to maternal and reproductive health services, and contribution to preventive and health promotion activities. The GP ensures safe, dignified, and culturally sensitive care aligned with clinical protocols and humanitarian standards.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Objective 1: Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services.

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

• Conduct clinical consultations following standard treatment protocols.

• Prescribe medications safely and appropriately.

• Manage common illnesses and provide follow-up care when required.

Objective 2: Deliver gender-sensitive and women-focused healthcare.

• Provide consultations tailored to women’s health needs in a culturally sensitive manner.

• Support reproductive health, antenatal, and postnatal care services.

• Identify and manage gender-related health concerns.

• Ensure privacy, dignity, and confidentiality for female patients.

Objective 3: Support maternal, child health, and nutrition services.

• Provide basic maternal health services and identify high-risk pregnancies.

• Support child health consultations and growth monitoring.

• Screen and manage malnutrition in coordination with nutrition programs.

• Promote immunization and maternal-child health practices.

Objective 4: Ensure proper referral and case management.

• Identify cases requiring advanced care and refer appropriately.

• Coordinate with secondary and tertiary healthcare providers.

• Follow up on referred cases to ensure continuity of care.

• Maintain clear referral documentation.

Objective 5: Promote preventive healthcare and community awareness.

• Educate patients on disease prevention, hygiene, and healthy behaviors.

• Support outreach activities and health campaigns.

• Raise awareness on communicable and non-communicable diseases.

• Encourage early care-seeking behavior within the community.

Objective 6: Ensure infection prevention and clinical safety standards.

• Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety within consultation areas.

• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.

• Support safe handling of medical waste.

Objective 7: Maintain documentation and reporting standards.

• Record patient history, diagnosis, and treatment accurately.

• Maintain confidentiality of patient records.

• Submit regular reports on medical activities.

• Support data collection for monitoring and evaluation.

Objective 8: Support emergency response and outreach services.

• Provide medical care during emergencies and outbreaks.

• Participate in mobile clinic and outreach services.

• Adapt to high patient loads and urgent situations.

• Support rapid response interventions as needed.

Objective 9: To ensure employees adhere to ethical standards, organizational policies, and legal requirements while maintaining integrity and professional conduct at all times.

Objective 10: Ensure the implementation of Qatar Charity’s safeguarding standards, including PSEA and GBV prevention, across all project activities to maintain a safe and accountable environment.

• Implement and monitor safeguarding measures, ensuring compliance with Qatar Charity’s PSEA and GBV policies throughout the project lifecycle.

• Abide by QC’s Child Protection and Safeguarding related policies to keep children and young people safe and to respond to concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing.

• Establish and maintain confidential, accessible reporting channels for safeguarding concerns and ensure timely response and escalation.

• Collaborate with HR and relevant departments to integrate safeguarding into field activities.

Ensure risk assessments include safeguarding considerations and mitigation strategies for all project activities.
