Job Context:
∎ We are looking to hire a talented ruby on rails developer to manage the interchange of data between our users and the server. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic for the central database, testing performance, troubleshooting, and integrating front-end elements into the application.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Applicants must have good experience in manual testing.
∎ Proficiency in software design and best practices.
∎ Confidence in HTML structure and foundational CSS knowledge.
∎ Experience estimating backlogs and helping clients determine the best order for dependencies and features.
∎ Maintaining and troubleshooting existing web applications.
∎ Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
∎ Integration of data storage solutions like data lakes and legacy oracle data bases.
∎ Proficient knowledge of the greater RubyGems package ecosystem.
∎ Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.
∎ Experience with code review and pairing with other developers as needed.
∎ Support the Agile software development life cycle following Program SAFe practices.
∎ Use industry-leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting.
∎ Maintain APIs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience working with ruby on rails as well as libraries like Resque and RSpec.
∎ Experience with design and building Web API development
∎ Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances.
∎ Working knowledge of GraphQL.
∎ Knowledge of SCRUM, XP, TDD/BDD.
∎ Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN, and Mercurial.
∎ Experience with AngularJS or BackboneJS.
∎ Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM.
∎ Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
∎ Knowledge of server-side templating languages including Slim and Liquid.
∎ Familiarity with testing tools and proficiency in unit testing.
