Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ Masters from Communications, Journalism, Media Relation, International Relation or other relevant subjects from any recognized university.
∎ Must have good English writing, analytical, communication, and report writing skills.
∎ Excellent knowledge of computer usage specially in MS Office, Outlook, and other software.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Programmatic Responsibilities:
∎ Knowledge management related activities
∎ Prepare timely reporting of activities according to Practical Action, donor and other applicable timeframes and formats as per the organization and sector approved proposals and plans
∎ Conduct programme review planning under guidance from HoPDU and assist Programme Manager and Project Manager to have the information in place for the best decision making process.
∎ With guidance from the Project Manager and M
∎ Work with communication team to prepare videos/ communication materials on project success stories
∎ Document key changes,
∎ Assist waste management team along with other change ambitions (Energy that Transforms, Farming that works, Cities fit for Poor People, Resilience that Protects)
∎ Train the project staff in all issues related to the programme quality and all actuality related issues and ensure they practice in the project implementation
∎ Draft and finalize the bulletins, news brief for medias and newsletters under the guidance of Project manager and relevant departments (Advocacy, Communication & marketing)
∎ Work closely with funding agencies under different projects in issues related to knowledge management and take the necessary actions for recommendations or feedback from the agencies.
∎ Advocacy related activities
∎ Develop advocacy guidelines in reducing the vulnerability of waste workers, sanitation workers, etc.
∎ Organize advocacy meeting campaigns at the field and national levels on specific issues under projects of change ambitions.
∎ Conduct gender assessment/research on issues related to gender equality and empowerment.
∎ Organize national level advocacy meeting collaborating daily newspaper or media
∎ Provide guidance to field team to organize advocacy campaigns and meetings at field level and attend the campaign from the country office.
∎ Develop ICT materials considering the national and international theme to observe the international women’s day.
∎ Assist communication department to develop communication materials on gender equality and women empowerment, labor rights, decent jobs and other issues.
∎ Capture case studies, lessons learnings, good practices from the project level for the greater audience both nationally and globally.
∎ Network and maintain dialogue with relevant stakeholders in close collaboration with TLU and others Units e.g. Government Institutions, National and International Development Organizations to ensure collaboration, synergy, and sharing of experiences on waste management issues.
∎ Attend meetings organized by various networks in Bangladesh and perform appropriate roles in the network.
∎ Conduct training workshops for relevant stakeholders, staff, and Forum Network members on advocacy and waste management related topics.
∎ Communication related activities
∎ Support with developing and implementing Practical Action's Communication Strategy and Branding Strategy and Marking Plan in close collaboration with Communication Unit.
∎ Coordinate all external outreach on the projects to the Government of Bangladesh (GoB), municipalities and other stakeholders.
∎ Respond to incoming requests for information, talking points, messaging, etc. from project staff, stakeholders, and consortia members in collaboration with TLU and PDU.
∎ Develop communication materials on waste management issues and labor rights for diverse audiences including the municipalities, and internal staff to be used for written and verbal communications and social media
∎ Provide communication support at events including preparation of press releases, announcements, social media posts and organize photography and videography activities as required
∎ Responsible for writing and editing monthly newsletter, website, success stories, PowerPoint presentations, videos, talking points, and social media content
∎ Edit and finalize reports for donors and GoB stakeholders on a regular basis
∎ Promote project accomplishments, learning opportunities, and findings of project activities and deliverables through communications channels and products to increase the accessibility and utilization of project information
∎ Documentation related activities
∎ Working under guidance from HoPDU closely and support Programme Manager, Project Manager, to ensure that the project documentation and reports are compiled and communications material is produced qualitatively within the appropriate time frame, work plans, objectives and approaches.
∎ Ensure all reporting requirements and project documentation as per donor and project requirement.
∎ Work closely with the Field teams and assist Programme Manager and Project Manager in local level coordination and representation
∎ Undertake regular analysis and assessments of the field
∎ Keeping records of all documentations and project implementation process;
∎ Carrying out desktop research, using a range of methods and sources of data, related to inequality and social innovation practices.
∎ Conducting qualitative analysis of data conducted through interviews, focus groups, workshops or other methods.
∎ Support in developing data collection tools for monitoring activities and indicators;
∎ Carrying out quantitative data analysis of existing secondary data sets and primary quantitative data.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the senior management for ensuring smooth delivery of the projects
∎ 2. Administrative Responsibilities:
∎ S/he will be responsible for collecting certificates/approvals/acknowledgments from local level governmental departments;

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 07 years of experience in communications, knowledge management, advocacy and documentation role in INGO and NGOs especially in developing countries.
∎ Female Candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
∎ Experience in waste management works along with a sustainable business.
∎ Experience to work with sanitation workers and process to transform informal sanitation workers in to formal groups will be an advantage but not mandatory.
∎ Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to set priorities.
∎ Good ability to work with a multicultural team.
∎ Willing and able to travel independently outside the station.
∎ Excellent facilitation, coordination, team management, reporting, and presentation skill.

Salary: Tk. 81309 (Monthly)
