Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision of solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned a society free from inequality and injustice, where no child would cry from hunger and no life would be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. ESDO has adopted a community-focused and people-centered approach while considering the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 upazilas under 54 districts of Bangladesh, covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
In partnership with Water Aid Bangladesh, ESDO is implementing the GO4IMPact Programme supporting local democratic governance and climate-resilient public service provision in Bangladesh at Naogaon District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Gender Mainstreaming in project implementation in targeted locations and replicate where possible
Provide guidance and support to project teams on integrating gender considerations into project design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
Conduct gender analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for promoting gender equality within our programs.
Lead the development and implementation of gender mainstreaming strategies and action plans across all organizational programs and projects.
Ensure that stakeholder perspectives, particularly those of marginalized groups, are considered in decision-making processes.
Organize and facilitate stakeholder consultations, workshops, and other engagement activities to gather input and feedback on our programs and initiatives.
Please contribute to developing knowledge products, case studies, and other materials documenting our experiences and lessons learned in promoting gender equality.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, community groups, and other partners.
Regularly collect and analyze data on gender-related indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and deliver workshops and other learning opportunities to enhance staff understanding of gender issues and their implications for our work.
Provide training and capacity-building support to staff members on gender equality concepts, tools, and best practices.
Support MEL in developing gender-sensitive indicators and tools to monitor and evaluate the impact of our programs on gender equality outcomes.
