Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop and maintain a robust FSMS aligned with ISO/FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP standards for rice, flour, daal, and feed production, setting clear food safety and quality objectives.

  • Create and manage a risk assessment and hazard analysis framework; coordinate certifications and compliance activities with local authorities to maintain updated food safety licenses.

  • Oversee implementation of food safety and quality control protocols across sourcing, storage, processing, and packaging; conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to integrate FSMS into daily operations, providing training and fostering a strong food safety culture within the factory.

  • Perform regular internal audits, inspections, and tests to evaluate food safety practices, document improvements, and track corrective actions for compliance with FSMS standards.

  • Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions, monitoring effectiveness and reporting on resolutions.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to food safety protocols based on audit findings; update SOPs, policies, and training materials to address regulatory changes, risks, or gaps.

  • Conduct regular FSMS reviews, reinforce food safety practices through training, and liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure ongoing compliance with updated food safety laws.

  • Support IMS-ISO audits (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001); social compliance audits (SA 8000, BSCI, WRAP, Sedex-SMETA); and supply chain security audits.

  • Work closely with corporate, operation, and project teams to address safety and compliance issues and implement sustainable practices within IMS-ISO and ESG sustainability frameworks.
