Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

Meghna Pulp and Paper Mills Limited (MPPML) is one of the sister concerns of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI).MPPML is engaged with producing tissue, offset paper, stationaries items, etc. MPPML is pursuing excellent growth through a motivated & performance-driven distribution & logistics team under the flagship brand named `Fresh`. Currently, MPPML is searching for highly motivated, experienced, proactive & energetic distribution & logistics professionals for its logistics department. The incumbents will report to the plant head for their duties and responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the transport and distribution channels to manage both in-house and third-party logistics providers.

  • Plan and improve the supply chain networks, and select the best service providers to distribute the finished goods.

  • Ensure proper controls and procedures are in place for efficient stock management, minimizing distribution costs, keeping products fresh, and maintaining high service levels.

  • Analyze logistical challenges and develop innovative solutions to enhance operations, increase business growth, and reduce operational costs.

  • Collaborate with key departments such as supply chain management, sales, and marketing to manage events, support sales efforts, and maintain product freshness for a competitive edge.

  • Select and develop carriers for safe, reliable, and efficient transportation, while maintaining strong relationships with both in-house and third-party providers to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Review and ensure logistics and distribution projects are completed on schedule and deliver the anticipated benefits to support business growth.

  • Negotiate with transport agencies to secure competitive rates and improved services, while evaluating and managing transportation costs.

  • Ensure stock availability is aligned with dispatch plans and take prompt corrective action in case of stock shortages.

  • Supervise team members, including drivers and helpers, ensuring efficient workflow and performance.

  • Coordinate with the head office logistics team to gather accurate delivery schedule information and optimize logistics planning.

  • Review all statutory rules and regulations with the legal team and ensure supply chain compliance all through the process.

  • Prepare and update stock lifting plans in collaboration with the marketing team to ensure timely product dispatches.

  • Perform any special tasks or emergency assignments as directed by management to meet the needs of the business.
