Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduation/ Masters in Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Design or Textile Engineering from any reputed university with a good academic track record.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and execute merchandising strategies for the woven product lines, ensuring that products meet standards and growth targets
∎ Be responsible for coordination of daily operational activities with merchandising team on deadlines for raw materials, samples development, production, and deliveries.
∎ Manage the merchandising process from concept to production, collaborating with design, development, production, and sourcing teams to ensure that products are developed and manufactured to the highest quality standards.
∎ Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify opportunities for new product development and improvements to existing products that align with the relevant brand positioning and customer preferences.
∎ Oversee the update on production status, sampling, and required information being provided by the merchandisers
∎ With a global mind set of sourcing strategy in the best interest of the brand, oversee the brand's strategic development and implement sourcing solutions that meet the needs of the brand
∎ Work closely with the design team to ensure that the woven product lines are aligned with the seasonal collection and brand vision, while also taking into account market trends and customer feedback
∎ Manage budgets for the woven product lines, ensuring that spending is aligned with seasonal demand forecast and financial goals while also optimizing the use of resources and minimizing waste
∎ Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM), Work In Process (WIP) and Quality Management System (QMS)
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure that products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
∎ Take ownership of order handling from the time of development, order confirmation, until to shipment
∎ Build and develop a strong supplier network that aligns with organizational strategy
∎ Frequently interact with the internal departments to ensure quality, production, and timely delivery of goods
∎ Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements, and with BYSL Global's policies and procedures, while also promoting a culture of ethical and sustainable practices
∎ Raise critical status of delivery and capacity problems with concerned stakeholders
∎ Monitor the production flow on a regular basis to ensure proper execution aligns with the production planning
∎ Manage and mentor a team of merchandisers, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally and achieve their goals
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the product development and merchandising process
∎ Act as a brand ambassador for BYSL Global's Supply Chain Division, representing the organization and its values to external stakeholders, including contract manufacturers, suppliers, and industry partners
∎ Evaluate vendors' performance periodically, build up/retain potential vendors by giving them more work orders, and phase out those who are not qualified
∎ Manage and complete all required documentation, filing work, and system data entry accurately and efficiently
∎ Take an active role in the continuous improvement of the Supply Chain Management System (SCMS)

∎ Expert at working under pressure with deadlines
∎ Excellent English communication skills, including speaking, writing, and listening
∎ Ability to collaborate and work well in a team
∎ Expected to have a passion for creativity and innovation, with the ability to think outside the box and come up with new ideas for product development and merchandising strategies
∎ Minimum 8+ years of experience in relevant fields, with a focus on non-denim woven apparel merchandising, manufacturing, and production.
∎ Substantial knowledge of woven apparel merchandising, manufacturing, and production is a must
∎ Sound knowledge of all types of yarn, fabric, garments, accessories, print, embroidery, washing, and other applications and processes..
∎ Demonstrated ability to develop supply chain capabilities and build strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers.
∎ Strong product costing knowledge, with experience in managing budgets and optimizing spending to meet financial goals.
∎ High proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as ERP systems.
∎ Experience in a buying/trading office or manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality products on time and within budget.
∎ Knowledge of fabrics and trims quality, as well as production and testing requirements for the knitwear category.
∎ Self-motivated and dynamic with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
∎ In-depth knowledge of the woven product category, including materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes
∎ Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
∎ Demonstrate a good knowledge of the supply chain from concept to consumer
∎ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders
∎ Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their goals and drive results
∎ Strengthen the partnership with the vendors to optimize collaboration
∎ Being able to support and empower the vendors to take further responsibilities
