Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement a strategic media plan that aligns with Akij Resource’s corporate brand objectives and SBU-specific goals.
∎ Manage media buying and media planning across all platforms (TV, radio, print, digital, OOH) in coordination with media agencies and internal stakeholders.
∎ Monitor and evaluate media performance and ROI, providing regular reports.
∎ Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses, journalists, influencers, and key opinion leaders.
∎ Lead the development and dissemination of press releases, media kits, and corporate announcements.
∎ Manage corporate reputation by proactively promoting brand achievements and managing crisis communication when needed.
∎ Brand Representation & Messaging: Ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all media interactions.
∎ Ensure all external communications are aligned with brand tone, visual identity, and strategic messaging.
∎ Draft speeches, talking points, and briefing documents for corporate leadership during press events, interviews, and public appearances.
∎ Support internal communications initiatives that require media-style storytelling or PR engagement.
∎ Lead the media and PR aspects of corporate and brand events, such as product launches, press briefings, CSR activities, and trade events.
∎ Coordinate media coverage for high-visibility events, ensuring pre-, during-, and post-event exposure.
∎ Detail the program flow, including speeches, panel discussions, branding elements, and engagement activities.
∎ Track media coverage and public sentiment through regular media monitoring and analysis.
∎ Provide timely intelligence on industry trends, competitor media strategies, and emerging communication platforms.
∎ Liaise with PR agencies, media buying houses, and monitoring vendors to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality control.
∎ Manage the PR and media budget, ensuring optimal spend with measurable outcomes.
∎ Serve as the first responder for media inquiries during sensitive or crisis situations.
∎ Develop crisis communication protocols and maintain updated stakeholder contact lists for emergency deployment.
∎ Collaborate with the Digital and Creative teams to ensure media and PR initiatives are amplified online.
∎ Engage in online reputation management and media relations with digital-first publications and influencers.
