Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop and manage the entire Procurement Department including setting targets and monitoring performance.
  • Look after the entire supply chain process such as procurement (local & foreign), inventory control, distribution, and logistics functions of the entire group.
  • Design, plan, execute, control and monitor supply chain activities of the company.
  • Manage timely and cost effective procurement from local & foreign sources in accordance with company policies and requirement.
  • Negotiate and maintain prices and long-term purchase agreements.
  • Manage the validity and quality of documents and obtain required validations in order to procure.
  • Actively search market and develop documentation in line with procurement goals.
  • Assist in procurement of materials, machinery parts and stationary items.
  • Assist in preparation and verification of requisitions.
  • Update and manage proper documentation in supply chain process.
  • Drive promotional campaigns in order to select appropriate supplier with competitive price and good quality.
  • Conduct regular random inventory checks in all stores of the company.
  • Take the lead role on the development and support of procurement strategies to achieve? Best value? Opportunities across all categories of spend.
  • Develop annual departmental cost savings targets and plan for the monthly, quarterly and annual procurement budget process with the Managing Director and relevant departmental heads.
  • Establish new processes and systems for effective procurement across vender selection procedure and appropriate negotiation.
  • Prepare strategic plans and reports to the Top Management when required.
  • Lead the negotiations of contracts with suppliers in order to deliver the best procurement solutions for the company.
  • Discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships.
  • Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements.
  • Control spends and builds a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
