- Technical: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical: Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Organizational: High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Leadership: Ability to manage and guide a team of accounting and finance staff.
Responsibilities & Context: Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements (like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements), and MIS reports. Analyze variances between budgets and actual expenses.
Budgeting and forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and preparing project budgets and revisions.
General ledger and transactions: Oversee the day-to-day processing of financial transactions, including maintaining ledgers, processing payments, and reconciling control accounts.
Compliance and audit: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist in both internal and external audits. Coordinate with auditors to address queries and implement necessary corrections.
Cash management and payroll: Manage cash flow, vendor payments, and payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate processing of salaries, benefits, and expenses.
Record-keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including fixed asset registers and petty cash.
Team support: Provide financial guidance to colleagues, manage the finance team, and report to senior management.
