Education:
∎ Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
∎ Masters in Accounting/ Finance
∎ CA-CC (Part Qualified) / ACCA / ICMAB (Part Qualified).
∎ ITP / VAT Consultant Certification will be given Preference.

∎ Adequate knowledge on MS Office package especially in Advanced MS Excel.
∎ Experience of working with ERP or VAT software
∎ Possess compliance mindset and innovation focus.
∎ Ability to handle complex situations.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
∎ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
∎ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Accurately record and manage all VAT transactions using NBR-approved VAT software, ERP and Microsoft Excel.
∎ Ensure the timely issuance of Tax Invoices (Mushak-6.3) at all sales points.
∎ Prepare and submit Value Added Tax Returns (Mushak-9.1) on a monthly basis in compliance with applicable laws and deadlines.
∎ Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly and annual VAT and income tax returns, including the preparation of all required supporting documentation.
∎ Identify tax planning opportunities to enhance compliance and optimize tax positions in coordination with the finance team.
∎ Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accurate representation of tax obligations.
∎ Maintain proper record-keeping of all income tax-related documents and transactions in accordance with legal requirements.
∎ Regularly maintain and update VAT software, ensuring its data accuracy, functionality, and compliance with current tax laws.
∎ Maintaining liaison with VAT/ Tax or other regulatory authority
∎ Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management.
