Experience:

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO

• Diploma/ BSc in Civil Engineering from any recognized university. Master or equivalent degree in Environmental Engineering/Water Resources Engineering/Civil Engineering will get preference

• Minimum 5 years of progressive working experience in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) projects in Barind tract rural and urban contexts, preferably with NGOs, working with low-income people in rural and municipalities contexts.
• Excellent computer operation skills including AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, email and internet browsing.
• Creative sense on relevant constructive work in slums and institutions
• Good interpersonal skills have demonstrated proactive roles in teamwork
• Ability to ride a motorbike with having a valid driving license.
• Able to cope with stress and work under difficult circumstances.
• Ability to adopt an online reporting system
• Have to be gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues.
• Experience in the design, estimation and construction of SWM & IWRM infrastructure in urban and rural areas.
• Experience in developing and piloting water technology/models for hard-to-reach areas.
• Have adequate knowledge of Rainwater, solid waste (Land Fil) management and other technologies.
• Good understanding of water contamination factors, water testing protocols (country context) and safety & security at workplaces during work execution.
• Skills to ensure safety and security during construction.
• Experience to lead, motivate and provide technical support to all field-level project staff.
• Experience to support in the procurement process for project-related procurements.
• Have efficiency and knowledge of field problems and necessary action to resolve them.
• Keep a daily Project log of all major activities.
• Good understanding of issues of climate change adaptation; gender equity, protection and multicultural intervention.
• Good communication, negotiation and problem-solving capacities.
• Ability to manage stress, multi-task and take decisions.

Job responsibility:

• The project engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines needed to complete the project. The project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.
• Produce appropriate technical & engineering sketches and relevant engineering drawings/designs from climate-adaptive based WASH points of view and present to the donors for approval.
• Coordinate with the relevant project person to finalize the technical drawing and design
• Responsible for providing technical supervision and guidance on the quality of work on project technological options at all stages of the project management cycles.
• In consultation with the project manager, manage the budget of the programs at the field level.
• Monitor and ensure the quality of construction materials
• Monitor and ensure the quality of all hardware construction through extensive field visits in difficult project locations regularly.
• Regular report to management/supervisor regarding work progress
