Responsibilities & Context:
Supervise day-to-day construction work, including masons, helpers, and labour, and make sure work follows drawings and instructions from the Site Engineer.
Assign daily tasks to workers and follow up on progress.
Keep daily records of worker attendance, work done, and construction progress.
Receive construction materials, check quantity and quality, and make sure they are stored, issued, and used properly.
Keep material receipt, issue, and consumption records, and report shortages in advance.
Check site measurements and report any difference from drawings, or any quality problem, to the Site Engineer immediately.
Oversee work stages such as reinforcement, shuttering, casting, brickwork, plaster, and finishing, and ensure curing is done on time.
Keep the site clean and organized, with materials stored properly at the end of each day.
Follow safety rules and make sure workers use safety gear.
Supervise site security and store, and keep all bills and challans.
Report daily site progress, material use, and problems to the Site Engineer/Management.
