Responsibilities & Context:
Study technical sheets, production samples, and patterns to understand quality requirements.
Verify fabric, trims, threads, and accessories to ensure they meet quality standards before production.
Confirm that sewing machines are properly set up and calibrated for production.
Monitor the sewing process at different stages to identify defects early.
Check for issues such as incorrect stitching, skipped stitches, thread tension, or alignment errors.
Verify seam allowances, stitch types, and measurements comply with quality standards.
Ensure consistency across products in terms of design, size, and fit.
Provide immediate feedback and training to sewing operators to correct errors and improve techniques.
Inspect garments for defects like puckering, open seams, loose threads, or misaligned patterns.
Measure and verify that garments meet size and specification requirements.
Conduct inspections according to AQL standards and identify rejected items.
Maintain detailed records of defects, corrective actions, and overall quality performance.
Prepare quality reports and communicate findings to supervisors and management.
Collaborate with production managers, pattern makers, and sewing operators to ensure smooth workflow.
Work with the maintenance team to resolve machine-related quality issues.
Identify recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce wastage.
Ensure that all quality checks align with company and customer standards.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
