Graduation/ Post Graduation in any field from any UGC approved university or institute
• Solid knowledge of Child Protection in Emergencies, inter-agency case management guidelines, child development, child psychology, and child safeguarding policies
• Strong understanding of Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS), ethical practice, and BRAC culture and values
• Proven ability in reporting, planning, work plan development, and effective implementation procedures
• Proficient in using ICT-based tools, online data input systems, and producing timely, quality reports
• Effective communicator with strong networking skills and experience engaging government, CiC, SMS, and child protection actors
• Demonstrated management, leadership, strategic planning, and motivational skills in humanitarian settings

The position supports the implementation of Child Protection prevention and response activities under the HCMP, managing centre-based interventions including surveys, CP facility establishment, and supervision. The role leads team planning, supervises field operations, provides technical and supportive supervision through regular field visits, and strengthens staff capacity. Responsibilities also include coordination with relevant sectors and stakeholders, programme reports and budgets, and ensuring quality Child Protection and GBV interventions, including Best Interest Determination and effective case management.
Develop team plan of each component of the project and execute accordingly.
Support and contribute to the implementation of child protection intervention including GBV, psychosocial support, case management, community watch groups, women leadership groups, CBCPC, community engagement activities and coordination.
Provide supportive supervision, guidance and technical input to the staff to effectively perform the duties and achieve the objective of child protection and gender-based violence intervention which contribute a quality programme
Conduct survey on risk assessment of Safe Space for Women and Girls and Multi-Purpose Child and Adolescent Centre (MPC) and assist in infrastructure development for child protection facilities.
Maintain coordination with camp management, site management and relevant stakeholders, and support in taking approval from CiC on Child Protection related issues.
Conduct meeting and facilitate training for capacity development of the staffs as well as parents and caregivers, CBCPCs, community leaders (Imams, and other influential people), adolescent and youth leaders.
Conduct field analysis through visits and consultations with parents and staff to identify issues, take immediate corrective actions, and assist management in initiating appropriate interventions.
Preparing different reports, budget and other documents and timely report to respective authority.
Maintain liaison with different sector of HCMP, others departments of BRAC, national and International NGOs and GO specially CiC office.
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external program visits.
Maintain effective time management with administrative and financial activities.
Ensure all child protection initiatives align with BRAC’s policies and procedures.
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
