Job Context:
∎ HI has been working in Bangladesh since 1997, with a focus on creating sustainable changes in terms of ensuring the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in society. HI is an independent and impartial aid organization working in situations of poverty, exclusion, conflict, and disaster throughout Bangladesh. With projects in different districts of the country, HI works not only with people with disabilities and other vulnerable populations, but also with their families, their communities, and local humanitarian actors in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights, and provide sustainability in its action. As one of the key organizations in the disability sector, HI has a wide range of projects which assist to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and their issues in emergency and development contexts, build capacities of local stakeholders, and reduce the impact of natural and human-made disasters. Particularly in Cox`s Bazar district, HI is providing services in rehabilitation, MH/PSS, SRH, protection and inclusive education with an inclusion mainstreaming approach to refugees and host population affected by the forcibly displaced undocumented Myanmar nationals. HI`s multi-sectoral mobile units (MU) and static approach are currently working in 15 camps located in both Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazilas and surrounding host areas providing comprehensive services in physical rehabilitation, primary health care, protection, and MH/PSS.
∎ HI is currently implementing development and humanitarian response project in Kurigram, Sitakindu, and Cox`s Bazar district through 4 project offices (Kurigram, Sitakundu, Ukhiya, and Teknaf) and 2 coordination offices( Dhaka and Cox Bazar).
∎ Operational Thematic: Livelihood, Health and Rehabilitation, Protection, Inclusion, Education and Atlas Logistic
∎ Number of staffs: Around 282 National staffs and 10 international staffs
∎ HI is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager-Inclusive Education for its Inclusive Education project. The Senior Project Manager-Inclusive Education contributes to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where he/she is based. He/she ensures optimal quality and impact of the projects implemented in the country by means of a delegation system with appropriate control mechanisms. With all HI managers, and through paradigm changes, he/she shares responsibility for the sound management and effective functioning of the global organization mandate
∎ Job Location: Ukhiya with frequent travel to Cox Bazar, Teknaf, and other parts of the country
∎ Line Manager: Operations Manager/Area Manager
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed-term
∎ Duration of the Contract: As early as possible to 28 February 2022 with the possibility of extension of the project.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Objective-1: Management
∎ Line-manages the project's team members: Sets individual objectives, evaluates
∎ individual performance contributes towards the professional & career development of his/her team members monitors competencies.
∎ Organizes and leads regular team meetings.
∎ Manages the recruitment and selection of new team members.
∎ Ensures strict application and respect of the programme's Internal Regulations by the
∎ project team.
∎ Objective-2: Expertise
∎ Provides the technical expertise for his/her project mainly education related to children with disabilities and inclusive education.
∎ Ensures that the activities implemented to comply with international technical norms and
∎ standards.
∎ Adapts the project documentation to international technical norms and standards,
∎ when necessary.
∎ Runs technical training for his/her staff when relevant.
∎ Is in charge of the technical quality and relevance of project activities implemented
∎ within his scope of expertise.
∎ Ensures technical learning from projects by drawing on lessons learned and good
∎ practices.
∎ Makes sure global and field technical specialists get the information they require and
∎ collaborates with Technical Divisions when necessary.
∎ Adjusts his/her activities to audit recommendations, if applicable.
∎ Helps to coordinate technical professional development and facilitate a community of
∎ practice, in collaboration with the technical division.
∎ Manages relationships with technical authorities, local partners, or other stakeholders.
∎ Objective-3: Implementation and Monitoring
∎ Ensures project implementation, in collaboration with the relevant services and inline
∎ with general standards and procedures.
∎ Ensures the planning of activities and establishes action plans.
∎ Ensures that activities are implemented in line with the project proposal and the
∎ allocated budget.
∎ Ensures that activities are implemented according to internal quality and technical
∎ standards and, if necessary, propose adjustment or improvements to help meet
∎ objectives.
∎ Prepares and monitors partnership agreements with implementing partners and other
∎ potential partners.
∎ Ensures the effective implementation and follow up of institutional policies (PSEA,
∎ mandatory cross-cutting approaches, etc.) on his/her project.
∎ Coordinates and collaborates with relevant internal services, especially logistics, RH,
∎ finance and technical resources.
∎ Ensures project data management.
∎ Ensures that the appropriate data collection and management tools are in place on the
∎ the project, in line with global standards.
∎ Ensures that data related to the project is collected and compiled in the project
∎ database.
∎ Carries out regular verifications and makes any necessary corrections in the activity
∎ database.
∎ Ensures project reporting.
∎ Monitors the achievement of results and indicators, as per the logical framework
∎ Is in charge of producing the appropriate reporting tools: monthly situation report, PM Box
∎ Reports regularly to the line manager.
∎ Writes reports for the funding agencies when relevant and monitors donor deadlines
∎ (grants, reporting, audits) concerning the project.
∎ Guarantees the proper archiving of information.
∎ Prepares and steers project evaluation and capitalization.
∎ Plans and monitors project evaluations.
∎ Produces project capitalization and learning from experience material.
∎ Objective-4: Influence & Communication
∎ Contributes to HI's external influence by participating in relevant networks.
∎ Communicates on the project to partners, authorities, and stakeholders when relevant.
∎ Objective-5: Strategy & business development
∎ Contributes to programme or country operational strategy (StratOp).
∎ Drafts new project proposals for the continuity or expansion of the project.
∎ Contributes to the drafting of new proposals for new opportunities.
∎ Level of delegation
∎ According to HI Bangladesh Program procedures (budget management, the commitment of expenditures, HR management, respect of security protocols, and safeguarding policy).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ At least 05 years experience in Project Management, including in a humanitarian context, preferably in emergency settings.
∎ Experience in Project Cycle, Management includes budget, and HR management (direct team management of considerably large team).
∎ Previous experience in managing inclusive projects.
∎ Experience in drafting and developing different materials related to education projects such as ToT, Curriculum development, training module, teaching, and learning material.
∎ Excellent facilitation skills (facilitation of training, awareness session, communication with the community).
∎ Capacity building and coaching skills.
∎ English mandatory (oral and written).
∎ Producing institutional communication is written in the country's working language.
∎ Producing clear, concise, and responsible communication suited to the interlocutor (adult
∎ or child); adapting communication and messages to an intercultural environment.
∎ Using active listening techniques and applying them in the appropriate situations, Negotiating and managing problems and conflicts.
∎ Establishing clear frameworks, rules, and limits.
∎ Creating and maintaining conditions that motivate the target public; mobilizing and supporting different groups of stakeholders (families, communities, local authorities, etc.).
∎ Planning, implementing and evaluating activities on his/her project (team and individual)
