∎ The Senior Programmer (QA software) reporting to the Project Coordinator will provide an opportunity for Quality Assurance for software related to the public health communication and scientific research-based environment at icddr,b.
∎ Contract Type and duration: Short Term Contractual Service Agreement;duration will be 6 months with a possibility of extension subject to availability of fund and performance.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
∎ Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases;
∎ Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities;
∎ Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools;
∎ Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs;
∎ Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved;
∎ Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs;
∎ Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements;
∎ Monitor debugging process results;
∎ Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions;
∎ Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts;
∎ Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
∎ Provide training to the end users in order to develop appropriate and organizational standard software application for centre;
∎ Collect feedback from users on existing software for any changes required;
∎ Make necessary changes;
∎ Provide continuous support for user queries in order to ensure smooth operation and continual improvement of the software application.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years of experience in relevant field - Software
∎ Must have knowledge in different Quality Assurance tools like Testim, Kobiton, Global App Testing, Kualitee;
∎ Must have the knowledge to write programs to test software;
∎ Extensive Field visit would be required;
∎ Able to manage and work under stress.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 115,796/- (consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances.

∎ Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities ,are subject to space availability.
