∎ Preferable Master’s in Public Health/ Social Science/ Mass Communications & Journalism/ English/ Statistics/ Epidemiology/ Data Management/ Development Studies or relevant fields.
∎ The ideal candidates should have:
∎ · Age: 28-35 Years (Age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate)
∎ · Minimum 07 Years relevant working experience. S/he should have extensive experience in monitoring, communication, reporting, documentation, publication and Photography in relation to patients’ data keeping systems & its documentation;
∎ · S/he should possess excellent writing, editing, develop case studies and photography;
∎ · S/he should be well versed in Information Management System (IMS), the latest electronic publishing and graphics methods;
∎ · S/he must be well versed in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint as well as Bangla and English language typing with fluency;
∎ · S/he must be fluent in both spoken and written Bangla and English languages;
∎ · Competencies in communication, analytical skills, teamwork, ability to think strategically and able to communicate and negotiate with wide range of people;
∎ · Strong organizational skills, methodological and logical approach to tasks;
∎ · Excellent skills in English, especially writing, including strong drafting skills;
∎ · Good presentation, facilitation and note-taking skills;
∎ · Ability to organize, analyses and synthesize large amounts of information.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure that information and data from SLEHs, PLECs and Outreach services are captured, documented, analyzed and reported in a results-based and timely manner as well as share with the seniors on regular basis;
∎ Prepare monitoring framework for capturing major indicators for new projects and initiatives.
∎ Ensure effective communications, visibility and knowledge management;
∎ Monitor regular outreach activities as per the monthly camp plan through site visit as well as remotely; and collect progress information for sharing and reporting purposes;
∎ Assist all components of the program in producing and documenting all kinds of program related reports and compile field reports for the Community Services S management;
∎ With the inputs from Outreach and Hospitals teams in the field, produce high quality monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and annual progress reports on regular basis;
∎ Provide high quality editing and formatting support for ensuring proper documents;
∎ Support program staff in organizing and managing training/workshops in the field;
∎ Provide relevant expert services to the outreach team, program components on reporting and communications as well as information management;
∎ Provide support in development of data collection methods, tools and analysis;
∎ Ensure the maintenance of sound filing system and appropriate use as well as recording of all projects’ experience, case studies, photos and results;
∎ Ensure all reporting and documentation work of community services department;
∎ Make drafting, proofreading and compilation of different departmental documents, notes as and when required by the seniors and relevant others as well;
∎ Contribute in developing digital M&E system and show competency in effective execution of Digital reporting as well as M&E System;
∎ Facilitate program monitoring and support local team in data use and findings;
∎ Take active role in conducting baseline, midline assessment documentation of lessons learned, best practices and case study;
∎ Capture pictures of camp surgery patients in the hospital and prepare case studies with appropriate patients’ photos, eye camp photos, patient’s data regularly for internal/external reporting purposes;
∎ Prepare case studies and deal with patients’ record keeping system and documentation as well.
∎ Job Context:
∎ The position holder will ensure regular communications and reporting support to the community services department of IIEI&H following the work plan and implementation guidelines under supervision of Director, Community Services Department. S/he will maintain a close coordination with field-based outreach and hospital teams for regular monitoring of work progress and reporting. The position holder requires frequent fields visits outside Dhaka for programme monitoring both at the Static Service Delivery Points (SDP - Hospitals), outreach programmes and Data validation as well. S/he will also liaison with some other relevant inter-departmental team members in a regular basis in the organization. S/he is expected to maintain a respectful, courteous, accountable and transparent working relationship with all the members of all departments of IIEI&H as well as field offices (3 Secondary Level Eye Hospitals, 1 Branch Eye Hospital, 1 Eye Surgery Center and 17 Primary Level Eyecare Centers - PLEC) with maintaining the highest standards of service.
