• HSC

• Any certification on Opticianry will get preference

• Basic knowledge of eyewear products, lens types, coatings, and optical terminology is a strong plus point.

• Prior experience (1–2 years) in optical shop-based service role is an advantage for this position.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with a patient-centric attitude.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary hospital team.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Optic Shop Assistant to join our Optic Shop team. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations of the optic shop, assist patients and customers in selecting appropriate eyewear, provide guidance on lens and frame options based on prescriptions, handle sales transactions, and uphold the highest standards of customer care in a clinical retail environment.

• Welcome and attend to patients and customers warmly, ensuring every interaction reflects the hospital's commitment to care and professionalism.

• Guide customers through the eyewear selection process — recommending suitable frames, lenses, and optical accessories based on their prescription, face structure, and other requirements.

• Take optical measurements, segment height, and frame fitting adjustments, to ensure accurate and comfortable eyewear dispensing.

• Support stock management by monitoring inventory levels, receiving new stock, tagging products, and reporting shortages to the concerned supervisor.

• Keep the optic shop floor organized, and visually appealing — ensuring display units, product labels, and promotional materials are always up to standard.

• clarify dispensing instructions to customers and ensure a smooth patient journey from consultation to eyewear delivery.

• Respond to customer queries and after-sale concerns (such as fit issues or lens complaints) with patience, and escalate complex matters to the supervisor when required.

• Stay updated on new eyewear products, lens types, coatings (AR, UV, blue light filter), and market trends to provide informed recommendations to customers.
