Four years Diploma Engineering in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Air conditioning & refrigeration or equivalent degree

• At least 5 years

• Minimum 5 years’ of experience in operating industrial HVAC equipment. Experience in Industrial Chiller Plant Operation preferred

• Solid knowledge of office procedures, strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude

• Proficiency in MS Office and the use of the Internet

• Experience of using initiative and creativity to resolve problems, identifying suitable solutions and opportunities for improvement

• Methodical approach to work and high level of attention to detail

• Flexible approach to work and positive response to changing requirements

• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality

• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and service areas

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and monitor chillers and pumps operational data such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc. and adjust where necessary to ensure optimal performance

• Perform routine inspections to identify any malfunctions or needed repairs and maintain and detailed records of operating and maintenance activities

• Monitor water quality and adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain correct water chemistry for the systems to prevent the chilled and condenser water network from scaling and corrosion

• Maintains and keep records the operational data in the logbooks and be ensure that the system are operating within the acceptable range of parameters

• Maintain and monitor softener plant and side stream filtration unit are operational to ensure the water quality of the cooling tower

• Repair and preventive maintenance of chiller units electrical and mechanical components such as panel boards, evaporators, condensers, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, piping, valves, etc.

• Monitors, operates, and troubleshoots the chiller plant management system that controls the chilled water equipment serving the campus

• Works by ensuring health and safety compliance imposed by the manufacturer/service providers rules and regulations and report to management on safety issues time to time

• Analyze energy consumption patterns and work towards optimizing energy usage to improve chiller system efficiency level
