Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ preferably Urban Planning, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Studies, Economics and B.Sc in Statistics.
∎ Good English writing, analytical and communication skills.

∎ 6 to 8 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Capacity Building on Integrated Waste Management and plastic waste management approach for waste management planning for key project staff, government officials and municipal representatives.
∎ Coordinate between different project teams and provide necessary support on components related to urban waste management planning.
∎ Work in close collaboration with multiple project teams who are responsible for implementation of various projects in different municipalities.
∎ Development of training packages for municipal stakeholders including engineers, conservancy staff & public representatives and MSSC members, Waste Management professional, Plastic waste management professionals, etc.
∎ Support communications unit with development of communication materials, brochures and other relevant products on for the project interventions both Integrated waste Manage Project and plastic waste management project among different stakeholders
∎ Maintain liaisons with different stakeholders and represent Practical Action in coordination meetings and external events
∎ Build rapport and professional relation with the relevant GoB, local alliances, NGO, local government, civil society, private organisations, and individuals
∎ Conduct regular follow up and monitoring of the activities to track the progress by ensuring quality.
∎ Support to produce quality reports for donor and provide input to quarterly progress and annual impact review report for organisation.
∎ Support to capture learning and dissemination in external platform and other Regional/Country offices of Practical Action.
∎ Submit weekly/ monthly reports to supervisor capturing all implemented activities and challenges as well, using the agreed tools.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the development sector (preferably in urban sanitation, waste management, WASH).
∎ Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
∎ Experience of using different tools like FSM toolbox and the application of GIS mapping,
∎ Experience in working with municipal infrastructures development and governance system improvement
∎ Knowledge and understanding of working modalities, planning mechanisms, institutional structures of municipalities in Bangladesh.
∎ Excellent facilitation, coordination, team management, reporting and presentation skill
∎ Ability to work and lead a multi-cultural team and meeting deadlines.
∎ Proficient in computer application.
∎ Good ability to work with a virtual cross-functional team.
∎ Willing and able to travel independently outside station.
Salary: Tk. 60000 - 65000 (Monthly)
