Context:

• Betopia Limited is seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, optimization, and security of enterprise network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will play a key role in architecting scalable, secure, and high-availability network environments while mentoring junior engineers and supporting business-critical projects.

• This role requires deep expertise in switching, routing, wireless, data center networking, and advanced network security technologies including Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), DDoS Protection, Load Balancers, and Network Detection & Response (NDR).

Job Responsibilities:

1. Network Architecture & Design:

• Design enterprise LAN, WAN, and Data Center network architectures.

• Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

• Architect high availability (HA) and redundancy solutions.

• Lead IP addressing and subnetting strategies for enterprise environments.

• Design WAN connectivity (MPLS, SD-WAN, ISP multi-homing, VPN).

• Perform network capacity planning and scalability assessment.

2. Advanced Network Implementation:

• Configure and optimize Layer 2 & Layer 3 switching (VLAN, STP, VTP, EtherChannel).

• Implement advanced routing (OSPF, BGP, Route Redistribution, Policy Routing).

• Deploy enterprise wireless solutions (Controllers, Access Points, Security policies).

• Implement SD-WAN solutions (if applicable).

• Lead migration and network upgrade projects.

3. Network Security Engineering:

• Design and deploy Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW).

• Architect and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions.

• Implement DDoS protection strategies and mitigation controls.

• Configure and manage Load Balancers (L4/L7).

• Deploy IDS/IPS and Network Detection & Response (NDR) platforms.

• Implement secure VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL VPN, Site-to-Site).

• Develop security policies, NAT, segmentation, and Zero Trust principles.

• Conduct security hardening and compliance alignment.

• Lead network security incident investigation and response.

4. Leadership & Governance:

• Provide L3 support and technical escalation handling.

• Mentor and guide Network Engineers and Trainee Engineers.

• Review configurations and ensure best practice adherence.

• Coordinate with OEMs and vendor support teams.

• Ensure SLA, uptime, and performance compliance.

• Participate in pre-sales technical discussions and solution presentations.
