The role is responsible for managing financial operations, ensure accurate accounting, control risk and support profitability of hire purchase transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure proper accounting of hire purchase sales, down payments, installments, interest income and outstanding balances.

Prepare instalments schedules, issue invoices/receipts, track due payments and follow up on overdue instalments.

Accurately calculate finance charges, recognize income over time and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Maintain individual customer ledgers, reconcile balances and update payment status regularly.

Assist in credit assessment, monitor defaults and coordinate with recovery teams to minimize bad debts.

Ensure hire purchase agreements, vouchers and financial records comply with company policy, tax laws and audit requirements.

Prepare reports on collections, outstanding receivables, overdue accounts and hire purchase portfolio performance.

Handle receipts, deposits, bank reconciliation and ensure timely fund utilization.

Track assets under hire purchase until ownership is transferred after full settlement.
