Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement an intellectual property strategy for different products like Crop Care & other chemicals aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
∎ Identifying valuable intangible creations, determining appropriate protection mechanisms, and outlining plans for commercialization and enforcement.
∎ Managing the filing and prosecution of applications, conducting IP audits, monitoring renewal deadlines, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
∎ Develop and implement measures to protect the organization's intellectual property from infringement, misappropriation, and unauthorized use.
∎ Assess and mitigate potential risks and challenges related to intellectual property to ensure the organization's compliance with intellectual property laws and regulations.
∎ Prepare detailed analyses of costs associated with patent prosecution activities and provide expense projections.
∎ Implementing and managing the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements with employees, inventors, contractors, and any other third parties having access to confidential information related to the organization's patentable inventions.
∎ Understanding the process, technicalities, usage and relevant laws of product patent.
∎ Drafting and negotiating licensing agreements, conducting investigations for potential infringements, and taking appropriate enforcement actions.
∎ Collaborate with Research Centre, R&D Team, and other internal stakeholders as well as external partners like patent offices, regulatory bodies, industry associations, legal experts, and technology transfer offices to identify and leverage intellectual property opportunities.
∎ Provide guidance to concerned employees and stakeholders about the importance of intellectual property protection, promote best practices, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
∎ Stay updated on the latest developments/changes in intellectual property law, industry trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 27 years
∎ Relevant experience in the field of Patent / Intellectual Property.
∎ Solid understanding of patent laws and intellectual property rights.
∎ Hand-on experience on patent filings, and manage the budget for patent-related activities.
∎ Ability to review and understand patent applications.
∎ Skilled in using patent databases and other research tools.
