Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cloud-based VDI architecture.

The primary focus of this role is cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and operations. The candidate is expected to have baseline security knowledge but does not need to be a security expert.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building and maintaining reliable, scalable cloud and VDI environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure (Primary Focus)

* Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in Azure or AWS

* Manage virtual machines, storage, and cloud services

* Design and maintain cloud networking (VNet/VPC, subnets, routing)

* Configure and manage firewalls, NSGs, and security groups

* Ensure performance, availability, and cost optimization

Cloud VDI Architecture (Mandatory)

* Design and implement Cloud-based VDI such as:

- Azure Virtual Desktop (preferred)

- AWS WorkSpaces / AppStream

* Manage host pools, session hosts, and golden images

* Implement and maintain user profile management (FSLogix or equivalent)

* Troubleshoot VDI login, performance, and profile-related issues

Security (Baseline Knowledge Required)

* Apply basic security best practices such as:

- MFA and role-based access control (RBAC)

- Least-privilege access

- Secure baseline configurations for servers and VDI images

* Review cloud activity and sign-in logs

* Escalate security incidents to the security team when required

Monitoring & Operations

* Monitor cloud and VDI environments for availability and performance

* Perform patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance

* Support incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis

* Maintain basic technical documentation and runbooks

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure / Systems Engineering

* Strong hands-on experience with Azure or AWS

* Hands-on experience designing and supporting Cloud-based VDI

* Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Windows desktop environments

* Cloud networking knowledge (VNet/VPC, VPN, firewalls)

* PowerShell scripting (mandatory)

Baseline Security Knowledge

* Understanding of MFA, RBAC, and least privilege

* Basic understanding of secure cloud configurations

* Familiarity with log monitoring and alert review

Nice to Have

* FSLogix profile containers

* Azure AD / Entra ID

* Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / ARM)

* Azure or AWS certifications

* Basic exposure to SIEM tools
