ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Script Writer / Story Writer you will be responsible for developing concepts, outlines, scripts, dialogues, scene

breakdowns, emotional arcs, and story structures for a wide variety of content including:

• Dramas

• Long-form web series and feature films

• OTT-ready episodic content

• Commercial, branded, and social-media narratives

• Animation and story-driven motion content

You will work closely with directors, producers, editors, and showrunners to turn ideas into production-ready scripts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Story Development

• Develop original story concepts, loglines, and pitch decks.

• Adapt novels, short stories, and user-submitted content into screenplay format.

• Build character biographies, motivations, flaws, and emotional arcs.

• Research cultural, historical, religious, and social themes when required.

Script Writing

• Write production-ready scripts:

  • TV/Web dramas

  • Feature films

  • Shorts, promos, and branded content

• Deliver scene-by-scene breakdowns, cliffhangers, episode arcs, and strong pacing.

Writers’ Room Collaboration

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and table reads.

• Revise drafts based on creative notes.

• Work with directors on camera-friendly and production-practical storytelling.

• Coordinate with producers to meet deadlines & episode delivery cycles.

Technical Requirements

• Write scripts in industry formats (Final Draft, Celtx, Fountain, Google Docs).

• Create:

  • Episode outlines

  • Scene lists

  • Beat sheets

  • Script bibles / show bibles

  • Character grids
