∎ Age 24 to 40 years
∎ MS (Master of Science) as the minimum educational qualification
∎ Proficiency in basic wet-lab techniques (Culture techniques, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR and qPCR)
∎ Effective teamwork and communication skills
∎ Proficiency in English
∎ Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel
∎ Research publication will be an advantage
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for lab equipment and storage.
∎ Sample receiving, handling, processing and storage at optimum conditions.
∎ Perform molecular and microbiological assays on clinical and environmental samples.
∎ Work with bacterial culture, PCR/qPCR, serotyping, and sample processing.
∎ Routine performance of rapid diagnostic tests, nucleic acid extraction, PCR and ELISA
∎ Prepare a detailed report and present to the principal investigator
∎ Optimize laboratory methods based on study design
∎ Supervision of research technicians on common laboratory protocols
∎ Monitoring and supervision of clinical site activities
∎ Follow up of study participants
∎ Other study-related activities
