Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Protibandhi Kallyan Somity (BPKS) was established in 1985. BPKS is a non-government, non-political voluntary organization of persons with disabilities (PWDs) of all types, working to ensure the equal rights, opportunities and mainstreaming of disabled persons into the development process so they can contribute as a citizen equal to all. BPKS`s vision is that all persons with disability live independently, with dignity, in a barrier-free family and community and are equally contributive to their own and society`s development.
∎ BPKS is call for applications from qualified professionals and experienced persons who wish to be considered for appointment in full-time position of Research Officer under a project of BPKS. The work place at BPKS Complex, 17 Hatimbag, Protibandhi Office Road, Dakkhinkhan, Dhaka-1230.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop/ design of implementation plan of research work as per objective, determined and develop different tools and case studies.
∎ Prepare schedules to start the research work, select data collectors and supervise their work.
∎ Conduct data collection and analyze the data with team members.
∎ Prepare power point presentation based on research outcome and share with appropriate audience as per guidance
∎ Specify family with disability to conduct data collection at the areas mentioned in the project.
∎ Collect general information on update situation, consequence of Covid19 and assist to organize and facilitate training for leaders/professionals with disabilities on Covid19.
∎ Assist to the Project Coordinator
∎ Writing progress and final reports of the research.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 55 years
∎ Have independent capacity to take initiatives, good communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills and have sense of integrity and responsibility.
∎ Have experience and clear understanding on research work including writing the documents, research method/procedure, data collection and analysis.
∎ Have knowledge on research principals to manage statistical information including qualitative and quantitative research.
∎ Have at least 5 years of work experiences in research and development field.
∎ Have update knowledge about Bangladesh development and information and data such as: SDG progress, UNCRPD, Covid19 and other statistics.
∎ Have knowledge about to manage training and events.
∎ Have willingness to share knowledge and skills and build the capacity of others.
∎ Have significant computer skills including skills to create documents with tables, figures, and other elements and expected to make presentations with the use of visual information's.
∎ Have excellent knowledge in English writing and commitment to work under-pressure.
Salary:
∎ Maximum BDT 40 thousand (including all).
