Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assess and provide physiotherapy interventions for vulnerable persons including persons with disabilities in Physiotherapy Center and Household-based Rehabilitation in remote Char/implementation areas.
∎ Develop and implement treatment plans to improve independence in activities of daily living (ADL), mobility, and overall quality of life of children and persons with disabilities.
∎ Asses the needs of assistive devices and prescribe required customized assistive devices (e.g., wheelchair, crutches, special seat or chair, etc.) to the beneficiaries through appropriate measurement and provide the device on time to the beneficiaries.
∎ Organize screening camps (for assessment and diagnosis of disability) at the Physiotherapy Center and at chars.
∎ Provide hands-on training to caregivers on continuing rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises at home and the proper use of assistive devices.
∎ Support CBR workers to identify and refer individuals who require therapeutic services.
∎ Monitor progress and modify treatment plans for the children and persons with disabilities as needed.
∎ Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of progress of the children and persons with disabilities, proper interventions, and outcomes.
∎ Refer beneficiary to appropriate internal and external facilities and services, which includes but not limited to medical services.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor/senior management.
∎ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
∎ Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with project stakeholders and camp management.
∎ Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
∎ Ability to prepare and submit detailed reports (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
∎ Experience with online data entry and record-keeping, data management, documentation and reporting as per project requirements.
∎ Willingness to travel extensively to field locations as required by the project.
∎ Internship Experience: 1-year internship as an Intern Physiotherapist.
∎ Field Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in relevant fields such as Home-Based Rehabilitation, Hospital Settings, or similar environments.
∎ Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bengali.
∎ Experience in the NGO sector is highly preferred.
∎ Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
∎ Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) or BSc in Physiotherapy from a reputed and government-approved institution.
