Job Context:
∎ Under the operational supervision of the Team Leader and the technical supervision of the Technical Adviser and Senior Technical Officer, the Rehabilitation Officer provides physical and functional rehabilitation services to Rohingya communities living in camps.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Identification of beneficiaries and linkage to services
∎ Take part with other members of the mobile unit, and volunteers, to identification/mobilization exercises.
∎ Support the Team Leader in mapping the existing health services in the area
∎ Communicate and link with other members of the mobile team, regarding internal referrals (PSS, protection, rehabilitation and social workers), ensuring a comprehensive approach
∎ Ensure external referrals and follow-up, gathering feedback on service provided for documentation
∎
∎ 2. Provision of physical and functional rehabilitation
∎ Undertake rehabilitation assessment of beneficiaries, under guidance of the Senior Rehab Technical officer when necessary.
∎ According to the outcomes of the assessment of the beneficiaries' needs (taking into account her/his daily activities, the participation of her/his caregiver, etc....), develop an appropriate intervention and treament plan, under the guidance of the Senior Rehab Technical officer when necessary.
∎ Provide physical and functional rehabilitation sessions for the targeted beneficiaries based on the defined objectives between the beneficiary, the caregiver and the rehab assistant. (functional rehabilitation therapy; caregiver training on rehabilitation process, assistive device, referral linkages, case study collection); in accordance with HI guidelines on emergency rehabilitation interventions & Offer rehabilitation services
∎ Review the most recent information on the beneficiary's evolution before starting a treatment session and adapt your treatment or ask for technical advice from senior technical officer when needed
∎ Ensure the security of the beneficiary during the rehabilitation sessions and take into account contraindications and precautions related to diverse illness, problems and medical treatments.
∎ Refer to the rehabilitation officer, under the guidance of Senior Rehab Technical officer, in case of any complex case, for the assessment as well as for the implementation of treatment plan
∎ Inform the beneficiary and the caregiver of the importance of the rehabilitation to improve the physical functioning
∎ Provide assistive devices and Specific Items, ensuring that beneficiaries are trained on use, care and maintenance of assistive devices and specific items donated.
∎ Assist the team to facilitate low cost adaptation & accessible home for person with disabilities;

∎ 3. Follow up, referral and linkage
∎ Closely follow-up individual and familial cases to ensure a quality follow-up of all the beneficiaries
∎ Maintain good communication and rapport with the beneficiaries.
∎ Mobilize beneficiaries identified for specialized service when necessary
∎ Properly documentation and report as required by HI and TU (including but not limited to assessment and follow-up forms)
∎ Ensure the beneficiaries sign necessary documents when item/device are provided.
∎ Work in close collaboration with volunteer, ensuring quality of service
∎ Other tasks as requested by line management and technical unit
∎
