Responsibilities & Context:
We are looking for a dynamic, result-oriented, and experienced sales professional to lead regional sales operations and drive sustainable business growth. The incumbent will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing distributors and depots, leading field sales teams, executing trade and consumer promotions, and ensuring effective market coverage within the assigned region.
Achieve regional sales targets in terms of both volume and value (Primary and Secondary Sales).
Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve business objectives and market expansion targets.
Monitor sales performance and take necessary corrective actions to ensure target achievement.
Identify new business opportunities and expand market penetration within the assigned territory.
Ensure optimum deployment, productivity, and mobility of the field sales force.
Supervise day-to-day sales operations and provide operational guidance to the sales team.
Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to improve sales performance.
Ensure proper implementation of company sales policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Maintain and regularly update market-wise and route-wise customer databases.
Conduct regular market visits to assess business opportunities, monitor competition, and evaluate field performance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, key customers, and business partners.
Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities and provide actionable feedback to management.
Manage distributors and depot operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure proper inventory management and product availability across all sales channels.
Monitor stock levels, sales returns, and depot performance to maintain operational efficiency.
Ensure timely collection and management of receivables and cash transactions.
Lead, motivate, and develop the regional sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.
Monitor field force productivity and provide coaching, training, and performance feedback.
Ensure effective route planning, territory management, and market execution by the sales team.
Plan, coordinate, and execute regional trade marketing and consumer promotional activities.
Ensure effective utilization of promotional budgets and resources.
Coordinate logistics and operational support for sales campaigns and promotional programs.
Prepare and submit periodic sales, market, inventory, and performance reports.
Conduct regular business reviews with management and provide recommendations for business growth.
Make frequent field visits and submit market intelligence reports to the departmental head.
Perform any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
