Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Perform X-rays and other diagnostic imaging procedures as required by physicians, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis.
∎ Prepare patients for radiological procedures, including explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout.
∎ Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot radiographic equipment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed to prevent exposure to radiation.
∎ Maintain accurate records of radiographic examinations, patient data, and imaging resultsWork closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to interpret images and provide comprehensive patient care.
∎ Adhere to hospital protocols, radiation safety regulations, and infection control procedures.
∎ Participate in regular quality control checks and calibrate equipment as necessary to maintain high standards of imaging quality.
∎ To run the X-RAY unit to ensure maximum efficiency.
∎ To demonstrate a working knowledge of maintenance of all instruments safely.
∎ To facilitate medical diagnosis by doing chest, abdominal, pelvic, head, neck, and extremities x-ray.
∎ Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.
∎ Managing radiology appointments schedule or EQMS system.
∎ Maintain records of examinations in the form of reports.
∎ Follow the SOP to ensure that all reports are uploaded onto the central system and address any insufficiencies by providing additional details as and when required.
∎ Clear understanding of the process involved in capturing X-RAY in a visa medical process.
∎ Establishing personal rapport with customers.
∎ Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan.
∎ Instructing the patients to undergo the appropriate positions to get accurate images while being courteous always.
∎ Preventing exposure from certain areas of the patient's body so they do not expose to radiation.
∎ Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
∎ Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
∎ Diploma or degree in Radiography from a recognized institution.
∎ Experience working in remote or resource-limited settings.
∎ Basic understanding of the Rohingya language (Rohingya/Burmese) is desirable but not mandatory.
∎ Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse patient population.
∎ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiographer in a clinical setting, preferably in humanitarian or low-resource environments.
∎ Familiarity with working in a multicultural and multilingual environment is an advantage.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Proficiency in handling imaging equipment and using hospital information systems.
