Meghna Hotel and Resorts Limited (MHRL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), is going to build a leading Five Star Hotel & Resorts and Commercial Building with aesthetic and state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Dhaka City, Bangladesh. MGI is currently searching for the Quantity Surveyor (QS) position responsible for managing and projecting costs, ensuring the project stays within budget while maintaining the quality benchmark. The incumbent will prepare tender documents, validate vendor quotations, and monitor work progress to address cost deviations. The Quantity Surveyor will report directly to the Project Director.
Job Responsibilities
Create precise and comprehensive cost estimates by thoroughly analyzing project expenditures to guarantee they align with the overall financial goals.
Examine contractor and subcontractor bills closely for any discrepancies, making sure that financial records are transparent and that agreements are being followed.
Create comprehensive BOQs to verify that every project need is carefully considered and recorded, therefore supporting bidding, procurement, and forecasting.
Take charge of project budgets to ensure expenses are well-managed and stay within approved limits while identifying opportunities to optimize costs.
Perform precise quantity take-offs to facilitate efficient planning and minimize superfluous waste by calculating the necessary materials, labor, and resources.
Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to cost-effective, practicable solutions that satisfy project objectives without sacrificing safety or quality.
Perform thorough rate analyses to ensure the accuracy of vendor quotations, optimize procurement strategies, and preserve cost efficiency throughout the project`s lifecycle.
Develop and oversee project schedules, track progress, address delays, and ensure timely completion of all critical milestones.
Maintain stakeholder awareness by disseminating regular updates about expenditures, projections, and any challenges or modifications that might impact the project`s scope or budget.
Conduct proactive evaluations of financial risks and execute mitigation actions to protect the project`s financial integrity and avert interruptions.
Compile detailed monthly reports on costs and project progress to maintain transparency and support informed decision-making processes.
