Experience:
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. Preferably from BUET, AUST, IUT, SUST, CUET, KUET, MIST
Certification or training in QA/QC and Green Building (LEED/EDGE) will be preferred.
Proven experience in construction QA/QC, preferably in industrial or garments factory projects.
Proven experience in high-strength concrete works (≥4000 psi) and structural quality control.
Strong knowledge of ASTM, ACI, BNBC, and construction quality standards.
Hands-on experience with concrete mix design, testing procedures, and site quality control.
Familiarity with reputed cement brands in Bangladesh (e.g., Holcim, Scan, Shah Cement) and their applications.
Proficiency in MS Office and reporting/documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities.
Job Context:
We are looking for a competent QC/QA Engineer to oversee quality assurance and control for a large-scale garments factory construction project. The role focuses on ensuring structural integrity (target compressive strength 4500~6000 psi), compliance with BNBC and international standards, and alignment with green building certifications (LEED/EDGE). The candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality construction practices, material compliance, and sustainability integration.
Job Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor QA/QC plans for structural and finishing works.
Ensure concrete works meet required compressive strength (≈4500~6000 Psi) through proper mix design, material selection (OPC/PCC), and testing.
Supervise and verify laboratory (LA test, FM, cylinder test) and field tests (cube/cylinder strength, slump test, rebar test, etc.).
Inspect incoming materials (cement, steel, aggregates, admixtures) and ensure compliance with ASTM/ACI/BNBC standards.
Monitor proper use of OPC/PCC cement depending on structural requirements.
Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications.
Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, method statements, and checklists.
Identify non-conformance issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers on quality-related matters.
Ensure compliance with green building standards (LEED/EDGE), including material sustainability and environmental performance.
Support audits and certification processes related to green building compliance.
