Responsibilities & Context:
- Implement and monitor the project quality plan, QA/QC procedures, and relevant standards.
- Develop the methodology for each activity in coordination with the consultant and the head office management.
- Ensure all construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and checklists.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship and material quality.
- Inspect all incoming materials (cement, steel, aggregates, concrete) and review test certificates.
- Coordinate and collect samples for laboratory testing of concrete, soil, and steel, and submit reports to concerned authorities.
- Conduct joint inspections with the client/consultant for quality verification.
- Prepare and maintain all quality documents, including QC reports, checklists, test reports, casting details and other records.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure quality compliance.
- Monitor concrete batching, mixing, placement, curing, slump tests, and cube testing activities.
- Check formwork, rebar placement, alignment, levels, and dimensions before concrete pouring.
- Verify soil, subgrade, and pavement layer compaction quality.
- Identify workmanship issues, non-conformances, and deviations from specifications, and ensure corrective actions.
- Ensure QA/QC systems and checklists are implemented across all sites with continuous improvement.
- Monitor and ensure all construction works follow safety standards in addition to quality standards and report any unsafe practices.
