Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's Degree in Social Science/ Development Studies/ Climate Change & Development/ Environmental Science/ Disaster Management/ Economics, and other relevant fields.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop a clear understanding of the project guidance on the community engagement and promotional activities of the WASH program and ensure proper implementation according to the guidance.
∎ Develop step-by-step Project Implementation Guidelines for community engagement in water and sanitation interventions, hygiene promotion, and water governance jointly with the partner's team.
∎ Ensure the partners know the guidance on community engagement, promotion, and water governance-related interventions and are equipped with the activity guidelines.
∎ Technical support to the partners for mobilizing WASH governance structure on the ground and, equipping them with the tools and materials.
∎ Ensure that the partners' project team effectively mobilizes the community for site selection, group/committee formation, community contribution, awareness raising, and capacity-building activities.
∎ Ensure orientation of the project implementation unit for the intervention at the community level; monitor the activities at the field level and report back to the respective project team members.
∎ Capture the learning from the field and proactively improve approaches and strategies as needed, especially in climate change situations.
∎ Lead and facilitate community engagement and promotion-related research and pilot work with the support of the Climate Change team.
∎ Capture the learning from the field and take a proactive role in improving designs and specifications as needed, especially in climate change situations.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years of experience in community engagement and social mobilization programs with reputed national or international NGOs.
∎ Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene sector in Bangladesh
∎ A minimum of 1 year of experience in capacity building
∎ Skills in operating MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS-Excel
∎ Understanding the adult learning process

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ One-year national employment contract with competitive salary including benefits such as PF, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Insurance, and others as per HR policy. Based on fund availability and individual performance, the contract would be extended.
