Job Context:
∎ Job Summary: Prottyashi, A social development organization has been responding the Rohingya Crisis in Cox`s Bazar since the crisis started and currently is implementing project in the Host community of Cox`s Bazar with the funding of International Organization of Migration (IOM). Prottyashi invites applications for the vacant position titled- Psychosocial Support (PSS) Officer for the "Integrating environmental management into DRR and DRM in Cox`s Bazar Host Communities, Bangladesh" Project.
∎ Reporting: Psychosocial Support (PSS) Officer will report to Project Coordinator. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization`s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.
∎ Contract Duration: Till 31st July 2022
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Find out the gaps where the PSS activities are applicable and extend the support accordingly.
∎ Aware project staffs and beneficiaries on psychosocial wellbeing through visiting training hubs and production and innovation hubs.
∎ Conduct psychosocial awareness sessions at the training hubs and production and innovation hubs.
∎ Identify individual beneficiary or staff suffering psychological problem and provide counselling support to the identified individuals.
∎ Provide necessary psychosocial supports to the referred individuals from the CFM system in place.
∎ Assure that minimum standards are understood and applied and support the facilitator in establishing a clear PSS system.
∎ Ensure refreshment facilities are available in the training hubs and production an innovation hubs while beneficiaries are engaged in production interventions.
∎ Maintain and strengthen the relations with the beneficiaries as well as with their caregiver to sustain the livelihood intervention.
∎ Sensitize caregivers of the female beneficiaries where necessary on importance of women empowerment and engagement of women in livelihood interventions.
∎ Maintain psychosocial case management within the livelihood beneficiaries to ensure quality psychosocial service for the target population.
∎ Prepare regular psychosocial analysis report on the livelihood interventions and contribute to the monthly report preparation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in national or international organizations in protection project.
∎ Technical Skills: Must have professional writing and speaking capacity in English and Bangla, i.e. field visit report, event report, case study/story, content writing, etc.
∎ Proficient with MS office suite
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly
Salary:
∎ Tk. 37618 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly Net Salary will be 37,618 BDT with other admissible benefit such as provident fund.
