Job Context:
∎ Reportable to: District Coordinator /Regional Manager of respective PNGO /Officer Program Operation - Finance & Admin.
∎ Project : USAID`s MaMoni MNCSP
∎ Summary of the position: SHIMANTIK is a national NGO since 1979 in Bangladesh. Shimantik is going to implement USAID`s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening project, funded by USAID and Technical Support by Save the Children International under 4 Districts like Habiganj, Brahmanbaria, Slyhet and Sunamganjj. S/He will be responsible to check expenses against the budgets to ensure value for money, prepare and assist yearly budget, budget variance analysis, and annual work plan, detail implementation plan financial and programmatic reports as per contractual obligations. Shimantik is seeking application from the potential candidate on the below position:
∎ PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Project Support Officer has responsibility to undertake the day to day Administration and financial support of USAID`s MaMoni MNCS Project. The position will work to ensure the high standards of financial and administrative integrity and accountability including all legislative obligations.
∎ Duty station: Working place at assigned District level under MaMoni MNCSP
∎ Reporting line:
∎ Administrative: District Coordinator
∎ Overall Finance & Admin.: Regional Manager / Officer Program Operation - Finance & Admin.
∎ Technical: Manager-District Implementation, Save the Children International at district level
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Administer and manage the financial systems as required by USAID's MaMoni MNCS Project including:
∎ Day to day Financial & administrative work as per Shimantik and Donor policy
∎ Maintain Books of Accounts as require at filed level.
∎ Ensure Procurement of the Project as per donor and organization policy as per timely manner.
∎ Assist Maintain, prepare and reconcile all records of income and expenditure and preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
∎ Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports as require at filed level.
∎ Monitor expenditure on a monthly and quarterly basis and inform the Finance and Admin Officer (FAO) of these and provide budget comparisons and variances.
∎ Ensure effective practices within budget guidelines.
∎ Payment of accounts and banking of cash receipts in a timely manner.
∎ Maintain a petty cash system and reconcile monthly.
∎ Preparation of financial records for the annual Audit as require at filed level.
∎ Assist the RM, DC and FO in maintaining an up to date record of transactions within the Asset Register/ledger.
∎ Supervision of daily payments and receipts as require at filed level.
∎ Managing the financial aspects of special projects affecting the organization
∎ Preparation and management of on-going maintenance requirements including warranties
∎ Maintaining the Financial Policy and Procedures Manual on a continual basis.
∎ Assist the Finance in managing financial risks, financial planning and control
∎ Review and monitor agreements with donors and ensure that terms and conditions are in line with the grant proposals

∎ Ensure Office Safety and security System.
∎ Participate in ongoing professional team supervision and training.
∎ Any other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor and the Shimantik authority and respective supervisor
Salary:
∎ 30,000.00 (Thirty Thousand only) and other benefit.
