∎ Qualification & Experience: Masters in any discipline (MBBS will be preferable),
∎ with at least 15 years’ working experience in health management.
∎ Preference will be given to candidates having work experience in any project involved in PHC service delivery.
∎ Experience in quality assurance monitoring and supportive supervision is highly desirable.
∎ Experience is desirable in behavioral change communication and poverty focused program implementation.
∎ Experience in urban health programming will be an added advantage for this position.
∎ A degree in MPH would get priority, provided other conditions have been fulfilled.
∎ The candidates who have worked in a similar position in health care service delivery, including GoB services, will be given preference and educational qualification of such person(s) may or may not relax at discretion of the recruitment committee. Excellent computer knowledge is required.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Coordinate with CEC/REC/SMT and other organizational bodies in designing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the hospital activities and also in developing future strategies by making recommendations.
∎ Monitor hospital activities and supervise the work of supervisee staff directly through regular monitoring visits and providing on-site technical assistance (hand-on training)
∎ Organize and facilitate monthly staff meetings to review progress and develop actions for further improvements and reach the contract conditions.
∎ Preparation of the annual work plan with target (quality, coverage, and goals), budget and hospital implementation report.
∎ Attend the hospital related meetings to get informed on hospital activities, strategies, policies and goals and seek input and directions.
∎ Closely work with the office of Civil Surgeon, DDFP, DC, Sylhey city corporation and other health-FP related office to get approval, seek input to effectively implement the hospital activities as per set standards and strategies.
∎ Coordinate with relevant government agencies and other NGOs and private entities providing health care services in Sylhet city corporation and achieve synergy and avoid duplication.
∎ Shimantik is a national non-government organization working in Bangladesh. Shimantik has been providing health care service delivery through different donor funded projects and also Shimantik’s self-funded resources. It has been implementing its Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project-II in Sylhet, Dhaka and Barishal city corporations. Again, it has its self-funded health care services in Dhaka and Sylhet city corporations. The organization needs to recruit one Hospital Director for its Sylhet Hospital (Shimantik Hospital and Training Center).
