Job Context:
∎ Global Unnayan Seba Sangstha (GUSS) is implementing several poultry/Livestock projects in Rajshahi to empower rural women and make them financially solvent.
∎ Job Title: Project Officer (Poultry/Livestock)
∎ Responsible to: Manager/Coordinator
∎ Job Location: Durgapur, Rajshahi
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Advice beneficiaries on better use of feed, housing, vaccination, disease management, water, and other important aspects of poultry/Livestock rearing
∎ Assist field staff in conducting beneficiary surveys
∎ Prepare a seasonal calendar for Poultry/Livestock (Disease and Vaccination)
∎ Market visit to be updated about feeds, recent medicine and treatment mechanism
∎ Train the staff/beneficiaries on the identification and solution of diseases and other poultry/Livestock rearing problems
∎ Actively involve and take the lead in the process of business selection for the project
∎ Develop and maintain working relationships with concerned departments (DAE, DLS and others) agencies, market actors, different associations, partners and stakeholders
∎ Participate in regular staff meetings (weekly, Monthly and need basis)
∎ Assist to produce case studies, best practices and field experiences
∎ Assist manager/coordinator to prepare short project reports, event reports and completion reports when required
∎ Maintain a gender-sensitive approach in all stages of programme implementation
∎ Other duties & responsibilities as assigned by the management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience from working in a non-profit organization is an asset
∎ Knowledge of the software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Salary: Tk. 20000 - 25000 (Monthly)
