Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ New Zealand Disaster Response Partnership (NZDRP) Learn to Live (L2L) Project aims to meet the immediate and long-term protection and nutrition needs through targeted skill-based training for women and gender-based violence awareness activities for men and women in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The hereby proposed project intervention aims to:
∎ Decreased human suffering associated with natural or human induced disaster;
∎ Rohingya communities are accessing safe places and networks for learning and support;
∎ Male Rohingya change agents are advocating reducing Gender Based Violence and Child Marriage;
∎ Improved nutrition in Rohingya households.
∎ The purpose of the position is to implement the GBV and Child Protection intervention of the project smoothly and better coordination with internal and external coordination. The Project Officer- GBV and Protection will support the project team, Field Assistant, Community Facilitator, GBV- Mencare group, Child Forum Committee, Skill Trainer and Volunteer. The PO-GBV&P will build up a strong relationship with Government bodies (CIC Personnel) and other stakeholders like Site management, GBV & Protection, Health, Nutrition, Education sector and other related NGO /INGO. Regular donor communication and report writing.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will be accountable for providing technical Support including planning, implementation and coordination of activities that require through understanding of program/project context, issues and ability to develop and apply a range of guidelines/practices.
∎ Develop different training module & guideline for GBV-Mencare, Skill Training for Adolescent, Child Forum program and Nutrition and DRR program.
∎ Work closely with CLC Management Committee and GBV and Protection Sector, Nutrition Sector and regular participate Camp Coordination Meeting and sectorial Meeting.
∎ Assist Field Assistant so that they understand the concept of the program very well particularly the concept of L2L GBV-Mencare, Child Forum, Nutrition, Skill Training and DRR approach.
∎ Assist Field Assistant in selecting Project beneficiaries, GFS and CFS sites, different intervention group formation and organizing different event including training, meeting and awareness session.
∎ Provide technical support to established child right and child recreations and alternative livelihoods opportunities as well as IGA related knowledge support among the beneficiaries through Adolescent Skill training.
∎ Prepare monthly/annual training/session plan of project and help Field Assistant to conduct quality training/session and provide technical support.
∎ Will be working in a team approach particularly closely with WV others project team and build up strong relationship with CIC office, Site Management, Protection, Health, Nutrition and Education sector and relevant different INGO/NGOs.
∎ Regular Field movement, monitoring and follow-up field level project interventions, providing technical support and report writing.
∎ Establish regular working relationship with government line agencies such CIC, Site Management, GBV and Protection sector and tap their services for the producer groups involving Field Assistant, CLC Management Committee and group leaders in the process.
∎ Capacity Building of Field Assistant and support them to organize and conduct community based different technical training.
∎ Accomplish 100% annual plan of the program in the assigned working filed.
∎ Implement the targeted activities for the assigned Camp.
∎ Provide all support for CLC intervention like GBV- Mencare, Child Forum, Skill Training for Adolescent, Nutrition and DRR Session.
∎ Conduct beneficiary selection, Need Assessment for CLC activities and prepare completion report.
∎ Support to organize trainings, orientations and session to FA, CF and Project participants.
∎ Support to organize training, meeting and session for and establish Child forum in CLC.
∎ Support to form Mencare group and conduct Mencare session.
∎ Support to organize graduation prograM.
∎ Support to Skill Trainer to organize training for adolescent and ensure support.
∎ Support to report writing and information dissemination.
∎ Support to get CIC approvals like need assessment, distribution plan, completion report etc.
∎ Ensure the participation of camp coordination meeting and sectorial meeting.
∎ Regular communication with CIC personnel and update shearing.
∎ Good Relation build up with sectorial team and other relevant NGO/INGO.
∎ Continue thoughtful practice and promote its use in self and with others CLC assign team members.
∎ Provide relevant information reflection to contribute to evidence building and organizational learning.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Must have knowledge and skills of project implementation.
∎ Ability to work in different target groups.
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Ability to work in a team.
∎ Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities.
∎ Proven experience in Project Officer in INGO in Livelihood Program aligned with GBV, DRR and Nutrition intervention.
∎ Partners support working experience.
∎ People management experience.
∎ Able to create a working environment where team members have equal rights to listen, speak up and contribute to achieve a common goal of the project.
∎ Must live in the project working area and 100% fieldwork is expected. Ready to accept the challenges and cope with the changes.

Salary: Negotiable
