Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples` centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. About three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted to the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services, especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community-focused and people-centered approach has been adopted by ESDO, while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 Upazilas under 51 districts of Bangladesh, covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ With the partnership of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), Eco-Social Development Organization ESDO is going to implement the ‘‘Community based Resilience, Women’s Empowerment and Action (CREA) Project’’ at Jamalpur with a goal “Build women’s leadership capacity and increased resilience of the most vulnerable communities to address climate change impact”. To achieve this goal, as a strategy, the project has been considered the five (5) outcomes. These are Outcome-1: Service providers both public and local government institutions are responsive, and increased access to the quality services of community specially women & girls. Outcome-2: Improved resilience of the most vulnerable coastal, char, hill, and haor communities to climate change impact. Outcome-3: Empowered women and girls are dealing with inequality, social injustice, violence incidences and participated in voice raising and protests. Outcome-4: Strong voices and decisions are in place against DVAW and child marriage. Decrease in rate of child marriage and DVAW in the selected climate vulnerable areas. Outcome-5: Risks related to poverty will be decreased with increased family income and alternative livelihoods options. To reached out the maximum impacts of the goal and outcomes, ESDO is inviting applications from the dynamic, potential, self-motivated, interested and qualified candidates fulfilling the below mentioned conditions for the proposed position.
∎ The Project Officer of CREA Project will play a key role in supporting the implementation and monitoring of project activities. The project is focused on building community resilience, promoting women`s empowerment and taking action to address gender-based violence in Dewangonj. The Project Officer will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing relationships with project partners and beneficiaries, and ensuring the quality of project outputs. They will work closely with the project team to ensure that project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and in compliance with project policies and procedures especially at upazila and union level.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Maintain regular communication with Union and upazila level stakeholders and groups.
∎ Assist PC in conducting trainings at different levels.
∎ Assist PC in data collection and validation from field
∎ Conduct all kinds of training with the assistance of Field Facilitator, prepare training report and submit to PC.
∎ Coordinate and maintain all kind of liaison, lobbing and grass root level advocacy with employers and Association members and other concerned stakeholders at union and upazila level.
∎ Organize training for Field Facilitator and supervise them.
∎ Responsible for close communication, coordination and activation of SRG group and ensure their all kind of inputs and output deliveries
∎ Continuously communicates with all concern Govt. Officials, Educational Institutions, LGIs, and facilitation and regular follow up of the plan activities
∎ Responsible for arranging awareness, advocacy, training and other programs at union level.
∎ Responsible for data validation from the field with support from FFs.
∎ Assist to PC for developing monitoring framework and tools, collecting, computing, and analyzing data and producing monitoring report
∎ Project Implementation:
∎ Coordinate project activities, including planning, implementation, and monitoring of project outputs.
∎ Work closely with project partners and beneficiaries to ensure that project activities are aligned with their needs and priorities.
∎ Support the development and implementation of project work plans, ensuring that all project activities are completed on time and within budget.
∎ Monitor project progress, identifying any issues or risks and proposing solutions to address them.
∎ Prepare project reports, including progress reports, annual reports, and other project-related documentation.
∎ Represent the project at meetings and events, as required at upazila and union level.
∎ Quality Control:
∎ Ensure the quality of project outputs, including monitoring and evaluation of project activities at union and upazila level.
∎ Develop and implement systems to track project performance and ensure that project outputs are of high quality at union and upazila level.
∎ Ensure that project activities are aligned with best practices and international standards.
∎ Field Visit:
∎ Prepare Field visit plan at the beginning of the month and submit to the project coordinator
∎ 70% field work to assist in the implementation project activities and others 30% desk work for reporting
∎ Prepare Field Visit report and submitted to project coordinator
∎ Reporting and Communication
∎ Prepare Progress report and submit to project coordinator
∎ Collect good practices and success stories and include into reports with photographs
∎ Documentation and preservation:
∎ Preserve all files with respective letters/documents/reports etc at upazila level
∎ Preserve necessary photographs of the project activities
∎ Collect, prepare and preserve different documents like; case study, success story, photographs and reports or program head, supervisor timely

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Age limit will be relaxed for highly experience candidates.
∎ At least 2 years of experience in working with projects deals with climate change/gender equality/women empowerment and governance.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
∎ Proficiency in MS Office applications.
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in [insert language].
∎ Experience in community mobilization and empowerment, gender and development, and/or resilience programming is an asset.
∎ Fluency in English, both written and verbal as well as Bangla.
∎ Proficient knowledge of standard computer software if possible.

Salary: Tk. 33000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Two festival bonus equivalent of one month gross salary & other benefit according to the project allocation.
