Job Context:
∎ The position`s primary responsibility is to facilitate the implementation and provide technical support to our implementing partner at the ground level for the project titled "School Led Community Resilience to Disaster and Climate Risks," with the aim of achieving specific outcomes. The project encompasses interventions within three interconnected pathways for building school-led community resilience, as proposed by MABCO:
∎ i) Increased access to 5 disaster resilient schools that are resistant and equipped against floods, fires and drought hazards for 2,500 students in Gaibandha; ii) Improved inclusive environment for 2,500 students in 5 schools of Gaibandha district and iii) Increased disaster preparedness among 2,500 students, 100 teachers, 110 SMC members and 5 communities in Gaibandha district, in order to make a meaningful, measurable, and sustainable changes in the way of school led community resilience building, especially in the target districts through safe school facilities; school disaster management; and risk reduction & resilience education.
∎ The appointed individual will be responsible for managing all field operations, which include liaising with local partner organizations, providing on-site support through regular field visits, coordinating and collaborating with local government authorities and stakeholders, and maintaining alignment with Muslim Aid`s implementation strategy at the field level, with support from the Dhaka Country office. Additionally, their responsibilities include documenting and capturing lessons learned at both the local and national levels, monitoring the project budget, and tracking its expenditures in accordance with the approved work plan, as well as making necessary modifications throughout the project duration. The incumbent will ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of all project components through regular monitoring visits and follow-ups while also meeting reporting requirements to Muslim Aid.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Quality Project Implementation
∎ Facilitate and ensure a detailed implementation Plan (DIP) with local Implementation partner.
∎ Ensure project operations SOP/guideline to achieve each output of interventions and arrange partner's staff orientation and training on the SOP/guidelines.
∎ Ensure timely inception meeting at Upazila and union level in coordination with the project partner and timely project initiation.
∎ Provide technical support to the partner for an effective safe school plan development process ensuring gender, DRR & CCA activities as per project guideline
∎ Facilitate partner to identify risk, climate risk, adaptation, and mitigation measures based on the need assessment recommendation and upazila level disaster management plan
∎ Oversee safe school planning, and facilitate monthly and quarterly review/Progress meetings with the partner at the field office level.
∎ Facilitate and ensure the timely project activities delivery as per the DIP of the partner.
∎ Facilitate, review, and develop if needed the BoQ as per the need assessment initial assessment.
∎ Supervised and oversight to the school renovation work and other resilient activities of partners and provided technical support for timely implementation.
∎ Ensure that programmes and projects are implemented in a consultative, participative, and gender sensitive way, with a particular focus on safeguarding requirements
∎ Responsibility # 2: MEAL and Reporting
∎ Work closely with the Partner and Muslim Aid MEAL and programme team to ensure and facilitate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities through a partner (Monthly & quarterly reporting, Baseline, assessment, PDM, etc.) are planned and undertaken as part of project implementation, and that evidence of impact is documented and disseminated to relevant stakeholders.
∎ Support programme team in the preparation of monthly action plans and activity reports of projects and prepare monthly, quarterly, and completion reports of the projects and event reporting
∎ Support data collection, Capture lessons and learning for replication, make case studies and ensure effective reporting and communications of project/programme impacts
∎ Closely monitor programme work plans and partner budgets, ensuring that all activities are in line with DRR & Climate standards and appropriately implemented.
∎ Make sure the Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM) including a hotline is in place and operational in coordination with the MEAL Manager and Partner organization.
∎ Support partners to ensure community participation in the assessment and planning process
∎ Undertake regular field missions, in coordination with programme, MEAL, and partner organizations to support and assess the delivery of the aspects of the project.
∎ Coordinate, in collaboration with partner organizations, for participatory implementation of the project activities.
∎ Responsibility # 3: Capacity building, Coordination, Networking and Representation
∎ Facilitate and support to plan and guide capacity building of the students, teachers, DMCs, SMCs, the youth group/women including partner staffs in the targeted areas regarding DRR, CCA, early warning and early actions etc.
∎ Ensure partner staff capacity building as per the Muslim Aid partnership principals.
∎ Establish and ensure linkages among the community, schools, local DM structure and government service providers
∎ Represent the organization and proactively network at key forums/events in order to build the credibility of Muslim Aid at the local level
∎ Ensure support and required approval of local government and administration for project's interventions, and events and acquire certificate for submission to NGOAB
∎ Communicating and coordinating with implementing partner organizations to provide them technical and management guidance to complete project activities smoothly.
∎ Internal coordination with Muslim Aid to get required admin and logistics supports for the project implementation ensuring the safety and security of the staff considering climatic hazards context.
∎ Coordination and networking with local level relevant stakeholders and ensure their participation in the project like education department, LGED, DMCs, local administration/government, Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD)

∎ To ensure all records are maintained and stored appropriately in line with MA document management and IT policies.
∎ To comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.
∎ Any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

∎ Support to emergency response at the project location or any other places
