Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Administrative and implementing
∎ Responsible for ensuring the successful and overall implementation of the Disability Inclusion project of the Inclusive Citizenship sector of Friendship in Gaibandha/ Kurigram districts through project management, advocacy and supervision expertise, which aims at “Inclusion of persons with disabilities within their communities aligned with the approach of Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)”.
∎ To provide technical, strategic and administrative support and supervise different level staff (Project staff, CBR workers, various therapeutic specialists etc.)
∎ Organize services to increase access, availability and quality healthcare to the population living in remote places who are persons with disabilities. Sound knowledge of care operating systems for who are suffering from physical, neurological and mental challenges.
∎ Support the implementation of suitable education approaches (e.g. inclusive education; early childhood care development and education; home-based education etc.) for children and persons with disabilities in hard to reach areas
∎ Responsible for liaison with government bodies, NGOs, institutions and other stakeholders and advocacy for the issues of inclusion of persons with disabilities.
∎ Responsible for organizing different levels of advocacy meetings, workshops, and seminars at local level.
∎ Supervision, Monitoring and Documentation:
∎ Directly supervise and monitor the day-to-day activities of all project staff based at the field level, such as - Project staff, CBR workers, various therapeutic specialists of the project such as - Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, speech therapists, Field Supervisors etc. and provide them with appropriate guidance for the achievement of project objectives and goals. Guiding them with an effective work plan and other logistic support.
∎ Ensure the effective use of the monthly approved project fund and different event funds, through the preparation of the working budget as per the guidance of the Regional Manager.
∎ Conduct field visits.
∎ Visit different organizations, and develop better rapport building.
∎ Closely communicate with other programs and assist to all programs being implemented to follow the integrity approach.
∎ Support project team during donor visits, government officials visits, etc.
∎ Any task assigned by the supervisor or sector management.

∎ Ensure for accessing the inclusive education related to persons with disabilities at community level through household and institutional visit.
∎ Regular visit different government department at district and sub-district level along with other stakeholders.
∎ Organized and facilitate different levels of advocacy meetings, workshops, and seminars at local level.
∎ Develop and prepare report (including financial)on different documents e.g. project/activity/event budget, monthly fund, daily activity sheet, quarterly etc.
∎ Any task assigned by the supervisor or sector management.
∎ Skill and Competencies:
∎ At least 4 years experience in project management related to Persons with disabilities. If not, strong experience of project management including planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting and developing proposals will be considered.
∎ Language proficiency must be good in both Bangla and English.
∎ Good communication skill.
∎ Skilled In coordination and networking with local and district stakeholders.
∎ Must maintain good manners and behavior with the patient and colleagues.
∎ Must have the capacity to work under pressure.
∎ Responsible for:

∎ d) recommend and communicate with respective line manager/supervisor or appropriate authority as required.
