Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is going to implement the BRAC Pooled Fund 2023 Project under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response Program, Cox’s Bazar with the support of BRAC and GAC. The project duration is 31 December 2024 (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field Office at Ukhiya with substantial field activities at camp- 8W and Camp-14 at Ukhiya. The job may be regularized after completion of 3 months of services under FIVDB’s pay-scale, rules and regulations.
∎ Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overall implementation of the project; will play a vital role in coordinating and managing the education-related activities. The coordinator will work closely with different stakeholders, including partners, donors, field staff, and communities, to ensure the successful implementation of the education initiatives.
∎ Details Responsibilities:
∎ Project Planning and Implementation:
∎ - Develop detailed project plans for education initiatives in the emergency context, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.
∎ - Coordinate with the relevant teams to ensure the timely implementation of education projects and activities.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ - Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and progress of education projects.
∎ - Regularly review project data, identify gaps, and propose corrective actions to ensure project objectives are met.
∎ Capacity Building & Resource Management:
∎ - Identify training needs among the project staff and organize capacity-building sessions to enhance their skills and knowledge in education in emergency settings.
∎ - Manage project budgets, procurements, and resources efficiently, ensuring adherence to donor guidelines and organizational policies.
∎ Reporting and Documentation:
∎ - Prepare timely project reports, capturing achievements, challenges, and lessons learned.
∎ - Maintain comprehensive project documentation for accountability and future reference.
∎ Coordination
∎ - External Representation: He/she represents FIVDB in Communicating with Communities Working Group and relevant Task Forces as needed in Ukhia and camp level and in Cox’s Bazar.
∎ - Work closely with communities to understand their needs and preferences regarding education services.
∎ - Promote community participation and ownership in project activities.

∎ Ensures that FIVDB and BRAC’s policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in accordance with the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring staff and associates are aware of and understand their responsibilities under these policies and FIVDB and BRAC’s Code of Conduct (CoC), their relevance to their area of work, and that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 10% of the Basic Salary will be deducted as Staff Security Fund (Payment made after project closing/ Leave from FIVDB)

∎ As per the project policy of FIVDB and the budgeted provision of this project.
