The Opportunity: The Project Manager – DFAT 5 will provide overall management and coordination of Save the Children’s DFAT-funded “Protecting Lives and Building Resilience in Cox’s Bazar through Locally Led Integrated Health, Child Protection and Education Services” project.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective, timely and quality implementation of the project across Health, Child Protection and Education, in line with the approved project proposal, results framework, budget, DFAT requirements and Save the Children policies and standards.
The position will provide overall project management oversight, facilitate effective coordination among technical teams and implementing partners, ensure achievement of project results, monitor budget utilisation and compliance, support adaptive management and risk mitigation, and ensure quality reporting, learning and documentation.
The Project Manager will work closely with technical leads, MEAL, Awards, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Safeguarding and other relevant functions, as well as local implementing partners and government/coordination stakeholders. The role will ensure that the project maintains its integrated approach, with child protection as a key cross-sectoral linkage between health and education.
The Project Manager will also lead coordination and planning for localisation, partner capacity strengthening, cross-sector referral mechanisms, climate and disaster resilience, GEDSI, accountability to affected populations and the eventual transition, handover and closeout of the project.
