Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Manager-Christmas Calendar 2020 project will lead, organize and develop strategic directions for the programme to ensure synchronized programme implementation. S/he will oversee all project management, administration, procurement, financial and human resource management according to Plan International and donor rules and regulations.
∎ The position holder will work closely in a team to ensure use of gender transformative education tool in implementation process of the project and support partner to establish community & school led initiative that reduce drop out . S/he will responsible for collecting information, reviewing documents, field visits, preparing drafts, consultation with other programme teams etc. for gathering information to use in influencing at higher level within relevant identified stakeholders. Conduct regular field visits to monitor project(s) progress, provide quality feedback, prepare and share field visit reports. Develop financial reports as required for organization in coordination with the Project team, M&E, Finance, HR and admin teams to share with the donor. S/he creates evidences with proper documentation, designs and implements capacity development of partner staffs teacher & school management to bring social change toward girls.
∎ The jobholder will maintain close coordination/functional relationship with Education team, Disaster Risk Management (DRM) team, Gender and Inclusion Advisor, as well as respective colleague of Protection and Education team at BCO level to have technical guidance - so that inclusive programme will be embedded in the implementing project interventions in a gender transformative way.
Additional Requirements:
∎ We are looking for a competent and committed professional holding a Master's degree in Education, ECD, or relevant Social Science disciplines will be strongly preferred and additional degrees relevant to education will add value. Required to have minimum five years of experience in similar role with responsibilities of managing projects preferably in international development organization as well as good understanding & knowledge about complexities of urban environments and education governance with demonstrated skill to work directly with primary & secondary school. Needed to handle partnership relationship elements like contracts/ MOUs, facilitate in sorting out mutual expectations of partners (including donor), influence positively stakeholders towards a common goal with strong representation, relationship building, negotiation & influencing skills at relevant stakeholders including state & non-state actors.
∎ Required to have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in order to present information quickly and clearly to a variety of audiences, including the ability to communicate effectively in English.
