Job Context:
∎ BASA Foundation is looking for deserving candidates to fill in the following position for FINISH Mondial project to be implemented in Sakhipur Municipality under Tangail district supported by WASTE the Netherlands.
∎ Job location: Sakhipur Municipality area, Tangail, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide direct supervision of the implementation of project activities to ensure that deadlines are met, and activities produce quality outputs as per BASA and donor's operational/implementation guideline.
∎ Review the project proposal, budget, targets, key performance indicators and ensure that the planning is realistic (Measurable, Reportable & Verifiable), both in terms of budget and implementation.
∎ Responsible for fund management, fund disbursement, follow-up and monitoring of expenditure with project activities and meet with internal and external audit/ monitoring visitors' team.
∎ Have regular interactions with the concerned department of the city corporation /utility members and update them about the programme.
∎ Facilitate the city authority to develop and implement a City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS) plan in line with a city sanitation master plan (including SWM and FSM) for the city.
∎ Regularly review & track the project progress against milestones and take corrective action where required, raising issues with the concern personnel as needed.
∎ Guide and lead the project team to achieve specific goals, objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the project.
∎ Manage and oversee day-to-day management, development and training, appraisals of the project team members
∎ Prepare programme progress reports (monthly, quarterly and annual) and other reports based on a structured M&E framework and review financial report and provide necessary feedback.
∎ Ensure effective cooperation with municipality, DAE & Health and education department and other stakeholders.
∎ Assist with donor visits, provides services of a guide during donor visits and events
∎ Support effective communications and joint working within the team and with other teams across the organisation.
∎ Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Executive Director as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Excellent knowledge of WASH project management with at least 5 to 8 years of experience in NGOs/development sector
∎ Experience of working in project budget and accounts
∎ Excellent knowledge and use of the internet, Microsoft packages and other skills
∎ Excellent written and oral English language skills
∎ Structured well organized and self-driven
∎ Excellent communication cooperation and interpersonal skills
∎ Person of good character and integrity, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as coordinator of a team
Salary: Tk. 45000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Travel allowance and mobile allowance as per project budget.
